The Audiologist Patient Choice Act

Please write to your senators and urge them to support the Audiology Patient Choice Act. This legislation would allow Medicare to cover audiologists' services to seniors, including the full range of hearing and balance interventions (including auditory training). Most adults over the age of 60 years have age-related hearing loss but most do not receive adequate hearing healthcare. If you haven’t contacted your senators before, it’s easy to do. Simply google “Contact [senator’s name]” and you’ll be taken to a page where you can enter a message. Here’s a suggested message:

The Audiology Patient Choice Act, a bipartisan bill that was introduced by US Senators Elizabeth Warrant (D-Mass) and Rand Paul (R-KY) to the Senate on March 20, 2018. This bill would allow audiologists to bill Medicare for auditory rehabilitation services and would help the many senior citizens who are not receiving adequate hearing healthcare. Thank you.

The more letters that senators receive, the more likely that this important bill will pass. Ears train the brain.clEAR Auditory brain training
